Settlement agreements in complicated domestic relations cases should be drafted to maximize any tax or estate planning advantages available to the parties.

If your spouse or ex-spouse will agree to sign all necessary legal documents, that reflect the agreements you have made, then you have an "uncontested" divorce or family law case and we can help. The Childress Law Office charges fixed, flat fees, in the following ranges, for preparing and expediting the necessary documents in these cases:

$250.00 for a divorce with no children or property issues;

$350.00 for a divorce involving minor children, and no property;

For every division of a business, retirement plan, military retired pay, or real estate that must be addressed in the FINAL DECREE OF DIVORCE or SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT, we charge an additional $200.00. We provide the legal documents needed for the real estate transaction if, for example, a residence is conveyed from one spouse to another. We also see that the title and mortgage documents are properly recorded in the county's Real Property Records, at no extra charge.

We charge an additional $100.00 for every other property issue that must be specifically addressed in the FINAL DECREE OF DIVORCE or the FINAL DECREE OF SEPARATION, including issues like - estate planning or tax issues, and division of debt or personal items.

For a "Qualified Domestic Relations Order" or any such similar Court-Order, we charge $500.00.
